Lennox Turns To GE For Consumer Financing Program

GE's Retail Sales Finance Unit Chosen For Service and Support

ST. PAUL, MINN. -- June 1, 2005 -- The Retail Sales Finance unit of GE Consumer Finance has announced the signing of a multi-year agreement to provide a consumer financing program with several Lennox International businesses, including Armstrong Air Conditioning Inc., Excel Comfort Systems, Lennox Hearth Products Inc., Lennox Industries Inc., and Service Experts Inc.

“We chose GE as our credit partner because of their excellent customer support and dealer service,” explained Robert Lauterbach, vice president of Corporate Sourcing for Lennox. “Other important factors are GE’s immediate credit decision process and robust promotional programs that will help generate sales. After our review and evaluation, GE’s experience in the home improvement industry was the final determining factor in our decision.”

Account service and contractor support will be provided from Retail Sales Finance’s St. Paul, Minn., and Rapid City, S.D., locations.

“Lennox is a very respected name in the HVAC industry, so we are delighted they selected us as their retail credit partner,” said Bruce Christensen, vice president of Home Improvement for GE Consumer Finance’s Retail Sales Finance unit. “Consumer financing should enhance business, and our goal is to provide Lennox dealers and customers with the very best credit service possible and make it easy to purchase innovative and energy efficient products.”
