Scott Young

As president and CEO of GE Money’s Personal Finance unit, Scott Young leads a group that offers personal loans, bankcards and home loans through retail partners and directly to consumers for GE Money - Americas, a leading provider of credit services to over 50 million consumers throughout the U.S., Canada and Latin America.

In 2005, Young’s group entered a new market segment for the Americas business -- agent banking. Recognizing significant change in the agent banking space brought on by a wave of mergers and acquisitions in the banking industry, Young’s team leveraged GE Money’s retail heritage and expertise to start a new business that would run the credit card operations for regional banks who didn’t have the expertise or infrastructure to do it successfully on their own.

He began his career in MBNA’s management development program and spent 12 years with the company in variety of roles, including operations, risk, collections, finance, marketing, and client development.

Young has a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University.
